I'm walking down the street, with my eyes cast down, tripping over my feet. Wind whipping through my hair, thoughts of the 70's haunting my memories. Even if I could go back there, now I'm just too old, hardened, and square. It just wouldn't be the same, I missed my chance then, now I own the blame. I own the blame for yesterday's mistakes. I stopped running away from my mind's endless replays. I was just a fool on parade, who thought everything was o.k., having a field day. Caught in a photo freeze frame, for all the audience to see, and laugh at me. I own the blame. I'm all over it, it has my name. I'm glad I came to this place in time, and this point in life, because I own the blame...I own the blame...

Make up your mind honey bunch, you just might need what you find. Don't get your shorts all bunched up in a bind, you know I won't treat you unkind. You see how both our bodies are designed? Like twin peaks, uncharted mountains to climb. I just might be the right fellow, like Marlon Brando and Stella. Even though I'm not a Rockefeller, I can still holler and bellow. So don't toss me away, like a dead tooth from decay, or a sorry beast at bay in dismay. The lotto's motto is " pay to play , " as the model's credo is to sachet. You know I never give up, I just can't get enough. I'm a glutton for punishment, even though my giddy-up and go, got up and went. I can't even make a good dent, but I will never repent, because I'm a long gone daddy whose wayward youth was so misspent, and I will never, ever relent. I will keep trying to my death, even though people around the town, may get upset. I don't care what anyone thinks. If you ask me, the whole world is washing down the sink. All the politicians are rat-finks, and the authorities, they mostly stink. I'm tired of the smell of corruption at it's best. Government at it's worst, is the government that you get. The founding father's got it right, out of mind out of sight. People let's get it right, let's catch those thieves in the night. We deserve way better than this. Let's create a government we can live with. When it's broken, you've got to fix it! Fix this...

So back off for awhile, because I'm awful busy just being me, trying to plant the seeds to succeed. A man's only as good as his deeds. I have no time to chitter-chatter over silly old useless matters. My time clock is running out, and my patience is about to let out a shout. I don't want to get loud, because I'm not like the rest of the crowd. I don't want to go down for the third time underwater and drown. You know your'e making me proud, that you allow me around in your town, but you've got me all wrong- if you think I'm settling down. I still want to be with you, but I'm busy doing what it is that I do. Don't excuse me of trifling, because it's my " A " game I'm bringing. " A" game, there's no shame in bringing my " A " game, I'm not the one to blame, so don't call me choice names, I'm just saying...

There' no reason - to be hiding out, inside here now, from our neighbors, ducking down way low - below the window sill. Out of sight, out of mind, playing hard to get - even harder to find. There's no reason, there's no rhyme. You'd think I could have committed some major kind of crime. I just don't want them to catch sight of me. The interrogation will begin -and then I must flee! I just want to be left alone - Please just let me be! I didn't ask to be shot into this world - with all these other people, surrounding and hassling me. There's no reason, there's no ryhjme. Maybe I'm just not the kind of person, that's your kind...

Animals in nature - kill to feed or to breed, but people kill each other - whenever they feel the need. It might be in a moment of anger - or in a wash of fear. Politicians provide the bullets and point the soldiers, who squeeze the triggers - the end is near. Drug Pushers show no mercy to each other, worship money, slaughter competitors - life has no meaning. Amidst all the bodies, pilling up and dying, leaves widows, mothers, and children, - orphans grieving and crying. Jesus Christ was right, they crucified him, took away his life - but they could not extinguish his eternal light... People killing people - It has to stop!

I'm not saying that you should pull the plug on the party. You can still kick up your heels - and have yourself a good time, if that's what you feel. Everyone needs to blow off some steam, in a healthy adult, consensual manner - but happiness doesn't come in a bottle, and you can't place yours on back order. If you lay the work on the ground floor, you can get your house in order, but if you let each task just go - you might never come out from the shadows. Each day is hard work, but some time is for play. Don't leave yourself in the lurch, just find yourself a better way....I'm not saying that you should pull the plug on the party...

Under a canvas of shining starlight, to experience their fears in the depths of the darkness. Left to re-examine their failures and in-actions, only to question the meaning of life - La-Da-Da-da-Da-da-Da-da-Da, the so called meaning of life. Violence begets violence. Blood shed spills, evil chills - the code of silence. Hopes are killed, feelings deadened - spirits leveled. Held against your will - taking no prisoners - tying up loose ends, taking no prisoners. The devil you know is the one inside you. The one you follow, no matter where it leads to. Your own worst enemy is right beside you - calling the shots and picking the spots. Trying to detonate your relationships and career - and all the while looking back and laughing from inside your own mirror. The fool standing inside your shoes, needs to wake up real soon, and come up with a better plan - an exit strategy - a better plan..

You've got all of your gadgets, and I've got all of mine. We spend hours dinking with them, wasting all of our time - but they keep us so busy, like we are actually accomplishing something. We're not really sure what they are good for, but look at the joy that they bring us? We could be spending time with other human beings - but what would be the point of all that? We's rather fiddle with knobs and wheels, than strike out trying to diddle someone else... Gadgets - how fascinating, they work just like magic. Gadgets - we are flesh and bone, they are circuits and plastic. Gadgets provide answers with no feedback, without static. Gadgets - keep us occupied, so we can not be denied. Gadgets - vices soon become habits, leave us empty, less than ecstatic - Gadgets!
